Kids Ranch, Baraboo, Wisconsin
What makes a child feel safe, confident, loved, and secure? Often it is one caring adult, one person who truly pays attention to who they are and what they need. The loss of a parent, parents’ substance abuse and/or incarceration, divorce, housing insecurity/homelessness, food insecurity, physical and/or sexual abuse are just some of the issues that many of the children who attend Kids Ranch deal with in their daily lives.
children are our future
At three years old, Todd Nelson III, loved getting in on the action, too. He (with just a bit of help from his Mom and Dad) organized a coat drive. Together they collected 53 coats!
Yet the most important outcome, Todd III experienced that helping others feels good. He'll remember that experience for life.
When each one of us positively impacts a child's unfiltered giving heart at such an early age, imagine what they might grow to be adults.
